- FAQ: Is a Portal compulsory? Answer: No, it’s optional.
- FAQ: How can I create and link my portal to Dr Linda’s Practice ? Answer: First click on the above box. It’s only a couple of simple steps. Use the email address used at online registration. Secondly, ask Dr Linda to activate the Link between the practice and your Portal. You will receive a “Halaxy’ email to activate your end of this Link.
- FAQ. Is there a cost to open a Portal? Answer: No There Is no fee to establish or to maintain a portal. A small Fee may apply for some requests made thru portal: eg Referrals, Certificates & Prescription Requests.
- FAQ: How can I use my Portal? Answer: Use a Portal to update your contact details, update card details, check invoices, request a repeat prescription, request a copy of test results, certificates and referrals.
- FAQ: Within my Portal, can I see my “complete medical record”? Answer: No. You will only see that part of your record, which Dr Linda has“shared.”
- FAQ: How can I get a copy of my “Health Summary”? Answer: Ask Dr Linda to share a copy. A Health Summary is a one or two page document, which lists your past medical history, current health issues, allergies and medication .
- FAQ: Can Dr automatically see everything I’ve added to my Portal? Answer: No. Notes and files within your own portal are private are not automatically shared with Dr. You must elect to share a specific Note (ie Message) or File for Dr Linda to view it.
- FAQ: What can I share with Dr Linda thru my Portal? Answer: patients can create Notes (Messages), upload files or photos and then share them with Dr Linda
- FAQ: What if Dr is not available, or if I'm seeing another health practitioner. How can I access my health information? Answer: regular patients can request to have a Health Summary and results shared into their Portal. Log onto view, download or print.
- FAQ: Why doesn't Dr Linda use email? Answer: email has privacy and information security concerns. Patient Portal messages are secure and automatically incorporated into your medical record. This streamlines record keeping and improves your medical record.
