Dr. Linda brings a wealth of experience from her extensive GP work throughout Gippsland and her time as a GP Obstetrician in Berwick.

NEW PATIENT
  • Registration: Secure link emailed via Halaxy within 24 hrs of booking (must be completed online. Sorry it cannot be completed in clinic).
  • Booking Fee: $50 non‑refundable, debited from your saved payment card: before your first visit.
  • Follow‑up is required to discuss test results.
  • If unwell: Please wear a face mask or request a telehealth appointment.
  • This practice operates without a receptionist.  Administration, where ever possible is handled digitally with some processes being automated  (ie registration and finalising accounts).
  • Patients can communicate directly with Dr Ford via digital or voice messages.
  • S8 Medications: Not prescribed, except for cancer care (narcotics/strong sedatives).

FEES
  • Private Fees (No Bulk Billing)
  • Booking Fee: $50 non‑refundable (first appointment only)
  • First Consultation (60 min, in clinic) All Patients: Total Fee MBS 123 = $272.65    Total Fee = Medicare rebate $202.65  +   Plus $70 out‑of‑pocket
  • Subsequent Consultations FULL Private FEES  (30–40 min):
    • Eg Total Fee = Medicare rebate MBS 36 (20 min $84.90) OR MBS 44 (40 min $125.10)   +  Plus  $50 Or $70 (out‑of‑pocket)
  • Aged Pensioners: Discounted out‑of‑pocket = $30
  • Payment: Full payment due on the day.
  • Fee Schedule increase as of 1st April 2026.      Fees after 1/4/2026 will then be:       Consult 39 min or less: Out pocket cost = $70 (formerly $50).            Consult 40 min or more: Out pocket cost = $90 (formerly $70).           Existing Aged Pensioner: out pocket cost = $40 (Previously $30).         Summary Total Fee  = Medicare Rebate + Out of Pocket cost (or Gap).         No Bulk Billing
  • Your Payment Card details are automatically captured + securely stored: when booking an appointment via this website. It is securely stored within our Halaxy Medical software. You change edit your payment method details via your “Halaxy Patient Portal” or ask Dr Ford to enter your new details at the end of consult. 
  • The Full consultation fee amount will be automatically debited from your saved payment method ……. shortly after your consult.
    By Booking an appointment: you have consented to this automatic payment process and agree to pay our fee schedule (as detailed here)
    Paid claims are digitally submitted to Medicare online for rebate claims. You will receive an Email from Halaxy software with submitted rebate claim.

  • HCC and other pensioners: are included within the single Private FEES schedule (detailed above)
  • Fee Schedule needs to simple and fixed because Dr Linda does not delegate invoicing / payments to a receptionist. 
  • From 1 Jan 2026: “ Option to just pay Medicare Gap amount” is no longer offered.
  • Non‑attendance / late cancellation (<48 hrs): May be charged 50% of expected fee.  This fee must be paid in full before (automatically debited from your payment card) before any future bookings can be made.

FAQ
  • Registration: Complete using secure LINK within an email (from [email protected]) sent at booking.
  • First Visit: Thorough assessment of your issues and overall health.
  • Review consultations: can often be conducted via telehealth
  • Skin Lesions/Lumps: Not excised; referral is made onto local GP Skin Clinic.
  • Mental Health Plan: Usually requires two consults and are not completed at first visit. If your registered for the optional “MyMedicare” with another GP Clinic then this will prevent Dr Linda creating a GP Mental Health Plan and referring you to a psychologist.
  • Telehealth (Initial Consult): Available, but no Medicare rebate will be available if first visit is not conducted in clinic.
  • Immunisations: Government‑supplied free vaccines are not available in clinic. Dr Linda encourages vaccination at local pharmacies.
  • Reschedule or Cancel appointment: Call 03 8679 6532 (voicemail anytime) or use the LINK  in “booking” and “appointment reminder” emails.
  • Covid Precautions: If attending in clinic with an acute illness likely a virus or a cold, please notify Dr Linda, and wear a face mask. Preference is to change to Telehealth.
  • Confidentiality: Personal information managed under Australian Privacy Laws. Contact practice with any concerns.
